TADA Minami 多田美波
Made the journey across town to the Musuem of Contemporary Art Tokyo (unclear why it is shortened to MOT or MO+) to meet up with a UX designer friend from my London days.
Before arriving, I had no idea who TADA Minami was, but as I went through the her solo exhibition I realized I had seen her work in many places.
Her work spanned some early beautiful paintings, but the most striking are the molded plastic with aluminium organic shapes, moving circular distored mirrors to full-on chrome organic shapes at a wall level and even room level sculptures.

These organic bulbs with aluminium coating were so wonderful. Rare for me to appreciate when I love my simple geometric shapes.

This pivoting mirror invites you to stand in front of it while it slowly moves and distorts you into some spatial vortex.

Room full of shiny pieces I would love to see every day.
